It took Goldberg all of 84 seconds to dispatch Brock Lesnar at the Survivor Series on Sunday night. Making his return to the ring after 12 years, Goldberg came good on his promise of being fit enough for a fight enough and proved he was fit enough to go on and win the match too. And how.

On Monday night Raw, Goldberg had another surprise in store for the WWE Universe. Goldberg walked out to the ring and the crowd expected a goodbye – once again – from the Hall of Famer and some words to say for Lesnar who he absolutely decimated only 24 hours earlier. Two spears and a Jackhammer were all that was needed from a still lean Goldberg to take out The Beast Incarnate and leave him back first on the mat.

And Goldberg’s another promise of bidding WWE farewell after the Survivor Series was on the cusp of being followed until Stephanie McMahon – Raw commissioner asked him an interesting question. It was an innoncent question but could spell trouble for many in the WWE locker room. She probed, “Do you still have one more title run left in you?” and the answer was revealed on WWE Raw.

And on Monday, a defiant Goldberg said, “So do I? So you bet I got a title run left in me!” as the WWE Universe roared and applauded in unision. And the quickest path to that goal? A spot in the 2017 Royal Rumble match! And with that, with few words, the 29 other superstars are “NEXT!”.

The Royal Rumble takes place on January 29, 2017 in San Antonio Texas with 30 superstars expected to fight it out for a shot at the WWE Universal Championship.
