Sushil Kumar has asked the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) to conduct a trial between himself and Narsingh Yadav to bring to an end the on-going debate surrounding India’s preparations for Rio 2016 Olympics. The issue at hand sees one Olympic quota in 74kg category for India and two strong contenders for it – Narsingh who had qualified after bagging the quota place and Sushil after being upgraded from the 66kg category.

Sushil asked for his medals and laurels in the past to be forgotten and a fair trial to be conducted to ensure the best wrestler goes to Rio Olympics. He also took a shot at WFI chief who had said the one who qualifies is the one who goes to the Olympics.
