450 table tennis players to compete for Vilas Javdekar Trophy

Over 450 table tennis players, including top players from the city Anurag Gote, Gaurav Lohapatre, Prutha Vertikar, Sanat Bokil, Debdoot Chatterji and Manthan Shah, will be seen in action at the PYC Hindu Gymkhana 4th Pune District Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, competing for Vilas Javdekar Trophy.

The tournament, organised by Radiant Sports Academy in association with PYC Hindu Gymkhana under the auspices of Pune District Table Tennis Association, will be played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana from July 31 July to August 4. The announcement was made on Thursday by Kumar Tamhane, secretary of PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Vilas Javdekar, chairman of Vilas Javdekar Developers, and Madhur Ingalhalikar, director of Vilas Javdekar Developers.

Atul Bapat of Sukrut Electric Company Pvt Ltd, Anand Paranjape, treasurer of PYC, Shriram Konkar, secretary of PDTTA, were also present at the occasion. The tournament will offer a prize money of Rs 75,000 across all events, namely Midget Girls and Boys, Cadet Girls and Boys, Sub Junior Girls and Boys, Junior Girls and Boys, Youth Girls and Boys, Mens, Womens, Veteran, Mens Doubles group and Novice.
