Argentine footballer Sergio Aguero sustained injuries after being involved in a road accident in Holland on an off day. The Manchester City striker was reportedly in Amsterdam to watch a concert by Colombian singer Maluma when the taxi in which he was travelling to the airport skidded.
Aguero is set to miss months of play under Pep Guardiola and two World Cup qualifiers with Argentina. Missing at least 11 games, Aguero spoke to Radio Metro de Argentina and said: “The taxi driver did not see the curve and skid. And when he skidded, we hit him with the pole. I broke my rib, now I’m resting. It hurts me badly. I’ll be discharged in a little while.”

The 29-year old was on a day off when the incident occurred and was due to report to training at 11 a.m. on Friday with the rest of the first team.
