Virat Kohli calls ‘best friend’ AB de Villiers role model in every walk of life

The Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli, who will be leading India against New Zealand for three-Test match home series that starts from September 22, shared an old photo of him with his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate AB de Villiers.

Delhi lad, who is an active user of social media, shared an old photo of him with the South African where the two right-handers are seen sharing some candid moment. He also wrote a caption which says, ” Throwback to a very very special picture.Very few people in my life have connected with me like my dear friend AB and i share the most wonderful bond with this great man. So much to learn from him all the time. If you ever want a role model for any walk of life, he is IT.”

De Villiers , who was a part of Delhi Daredevils franchise till the third season of the Indian Premier League, joined RCB in 2011 and since then has been a key player for the team. Where as, Virat has been a part of Bangalore side ever since the inaugural season. Both the flamboyant cricketers have shared many match winning innings together.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are yet to be crowned as the champions of the cricket league, were the runner-ups of 2016 edition. They lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 runs at their home ground.

De Villiers tops the latest ICC ODI batsman rankings, and is followed by Virat Kohli in second positions. He has recently recovered from injury and been included in the Proteas squad for the one-day series at home against Australia starting later this month.
