Hyderabad reached 143 for no loss at the end of the second day’s play after bundling out Services for 353 in their first innings in their Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match in New Delhi on Monday.
Resuming on 244 for three, Services could add just another 109 to the overnight total while losing seven wickets in the process.
Overnight batsmen — skipper Soumik Chatterjee, resuming on 135 and Yashpal Singh, on 51, got out early. While Yashpal failed to add any more run to his last night’s score, Chatterjee was dismissed for 156 off 292 balls that included 21 hits to the fence.

Thereafter, only Muzzaffaruddin Khalid (35) chipped in with some crucial runs even as others failed to apply themselves.
In reply, Hyderabad got off to an ideal start with openers Tanmay Agarwal (47 not out) and Akshath Reddy (89 not out) remaining unbeaten when the stumps were drawn, having already put on an unbroken 143-run stand for the first wicket.

Himachal pile up 551 against Saurashtra
Himachal Pradesh rode on centuries by opener Prashant Chopra (187) and Robin Bist (101) to pile up a massive 551 in their Group C Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra in Rajkot on Monday.
After the visiting side’s innings ended 551 all out in 168.1 overs at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, the hosts reached 21 for no loss when the stumps were drawn on the second day.
Resuming at their overnight score of 310 for three, Himachal Pradesh, besides Chopra and Bist, were well served by Nikhi Gangta (77) and Rishi Dhawan (55).
At close of play, Saurashtra trailed by 530 runs with 10 wickets remaining in their first innings.
Jharkhand on top against Tripura
Jharkhand put up a solid middle-order performance to reach 296/3 on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match against Tripura in Agartala on Monday.
Overnight 42/1, Jharkhand overcame a topsy-turvy start to post 296 today in reply to Tripura’s first innings total of 166.
Anand Singh (91), Saurabh Tiwary (94) and Ishank Jaggi (51) made for an impressive middle-order batting display to steer the side comfortably.

Kerala amass 441
Robert Fernandez and Fabid Ahmed hit a century each as Kerala scored 441 all out in the first innings and then reduced Goa to 81 for two on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Group C cricket match in Porvorim on Monday.
Resuming at an overnight score of 224 for five, Kerala lost Akshay Kodoth (35) early.But Robert (109) and Fabid (106) played superb knocks, adding 129 runs together for the seventh wicket to take the team past 360-run mark.
