James Anderson climbed a spot up in the tally of the highest wicket-takers in Tests when he dismissed Angelo Mathews in the first innings of the first Test against Sri Lanka at Headingley.
Anderson surpassed former India all-rounder Kapil Dev who had 434 wickets in 131 matches to his name.
Anderson picked the 435th wicket in his 114th Test matches.
Muttiah Muralitharan, Shane Warne, Anil Kumble, Glenn McGrath and Courtney Walsh are the only bowlers who have more Test Wickets than the England pacer.
Courtney Walsh has 519 victims and is fifth in the list. Muralitharan leads the list with 800 wickets.
