Rising Pune SuperGiants beat defending champions Mumbai Indians by nine wickets in the opening match of the Indian Premier League 2016. Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first but could only manage 121 for 8 in their 20 overs. Pune, led by Ajinkya Rahane 66 not out cruised to victory in 14.4 overs.
