India begin their second Test against West Indies in Kingston today. The Indian team started by a a win in the opening Test at Antigua by an innings and 92 runs. First Test double hundred and a century from R Ashwin followed by a ruthless bowling from the pacers and Ashwin made the work easy for the touring captain.
India will be forced to change their playing XI for the second Test against West Indies as Vijay failed to recover fully from a thumb injury sustained during the first innings in Antigua. Youngster KL Rahul, who is yet to play his first Test on the Caribbean soil, is likely to replace the experienced Vijay.
Last time hosts beat India in Test cricket was in 2002, at Sabina Park in Jamaica. They have had three close Tests since.
