A report on secial media went viral which suggested that the Bollywood Super Star had charged 4 crores as his appearance fee.

The ‘rumoured act’ forced fans to question his patriotism.

Cricket Association of Bengal president Sourav Ganguly was quoted by Anandabazar Patrika that Bachchan paid Rs 30 lakhs of his pocket for stay and travel to Kolkata.

“Mr Bachchan is one and only, a special person. I am eternally grateful to him. Can you imagine someone paying Rs 30 lakhs of his own pocket to perform? He booked his own flight, bought his own tickets and even paid the hotel bills. I literally begged him to take some money but he said that I am doing it for love and there is no question of money being involved,” he was quoted as saying.

A top CAB official cleared the air on Sunday.

“No, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan did not take any money from us,”” the official told IANS.

To each his own. But would made for a better news article had he charged and then donated the money for a good cause.

Let us think... Amitabh Bachchan did Charged 4 crores for "Jan gan Man" So, whats the issue in it?? He worked hard to reach this position and taking money for his work is not a crime.. You can't question his patriotism for this.. Just like our Team India.. They always take crores of money to play for India.. Kapil Dev, Sachin, Sehwag , Azhar they all did.. Amitabh Bachan is a legend represented India many times and he did alot for India infront of the people who are yelling against him.. and i am sure, if you ask them what you did for India? it will shut their big mouths. and it will happen after listening this real NEWS that he did't charged a single penny..

THIS IS ONE STAR WHO REALLY SHINES. THERE ARE HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS WE MAKE CRORES FROM PEOPLE AND THEIR PAY BACK TO THE NATION IS NEGLIGIBLE. IF THEY DECIDE THEY CAN PLAY VERY POSITIVE ROLE IN UNITING THE PEOPLE, IMPROVING LIVES OF MILLIONS. MOST ARE SELF CENTERED. THEY CARE VERY LITTLE FOR THE NATION. THEY HAVE MONEY, PORITY, TALENT. INSTEAD OF JOINING POLITICAL PARTIES THEY SHOULD FOCUS ON UPLIFTING AND UNITING PEOPLE UNDER NATIONAL FLAG

He is a lousy singer anyway. CAB shd have imposed costs on him for opening his mouth to sing. Will pardon him because it was the national anthem.

The viral news is stupid. The guy who started this should be named and shamed, Fans questioning AB's patriotism should be ashamed of themselves

Can't believe fading Bachan ever doing anything without a motive ! Besides being on center stage, what other perks and benefits did he get one the quiet ??? He is a kleptomaniac who has been up for every morning to all and sundry on both side of political divide.
