Call it personal dislike of each other or competitive streak but Virat Kohli and Mitchell Johnson are not the biggest fans of each other. Their going at each other during India’s tour of Australia in 2014 highlighted that.

Now with India set to take on Australia in the virtual quarterfinal on Sunday, the rivalry of the two biggies in world cricket comes to the fore yet again. Johnson won’t be on the field to bowl to Kohli – since he’s retired – but that hasn’t stopped him from taking a dig at Kohli.

After Kohli’s comments in the press conference on Saturday where the Indian batsman said he thrives under pressure and if the Aussie players have a go at him, it only ends up egging him on to perform better, Johnson took to Twitter and responded by highlighting ‘Kohli went missing during the World Cup semifinal against Australia’

Soon enough, Johnson received a barrage of replies – mostly from Indian fans – and Johnson took them in the stride – including a few with a tongue-in-cheek comments.

If the on-field squabble in 2014 wasn’t enough, it switched to the press conference too where Kohli hit back at Johnson and backed his skill with the bat to answer back not just with words.
