The SC ruling on Friday said that the BCCI cannot enter into contracts above a monetary ceiling which now has to be fixed by Lodha panel. This means that the BCCI will now have to first get an approval from the panel to enter into a contract relating to media rights and ground rights among other things.
It has also restricted the body from disbursing funds to state cricket associations before passing resolution on implementation of Lodha panel’s recommendations.
Anurag Thakur and BCCI secretary Ajay Shirke have also been asked to show up before the panel to show their compliance.
