Mumbai will be without the services of Dhawal Kulkarni when they take on Railways in their second Ranji Trophy cricket league match from December 14-17 as the medium-pacer has been called in as cover for injured Bhuvneshwar Kumar in the India squad touring Australia.

Bhuvneshwar, who is part of the Indian pace quintet, was ruled out of the first two Tests with an injured ankle.

Kulkarni, who has represented India in 4 ODIs, will also miss Mumbai’s third group match against Uttar Pradesh in Kanpur between December 21-24.

Kulkarni, 26, had played for Mumbai in the season-opening Group A match against Jammu and Kashmir and returned with overall figures of 2 for 104 in the team’s shocking four-wicket loss.
