BCCI invites applications for job of national selectors, set new guidelines for applicants

BCCI has invited applications for the job of national selectors for senior, junior and women teams before September 14.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited applications for the post of national selectors on Saturday. The applications are invited for the post of senior, junior and women national selectors. BCCI has also laid certain conditions for the applicants for their applications to be considered. The last date to apply for the same in September 14. The applicants must be below the age of 60 years to be considered for the job.

For the position of senior national selector, the applicant should have represented India in Test or ODI or must have played more than 50 first-class matches in India. For the position of junior selector, the applicant must have played more than 50 first-class matches in India.

BCCI also made it clear that any individual, who has served as national selector in the board and has already completed four years is not eligible for the job.

The applicant should also not be part of IPL management team or any other league in the world. Also, the applicant should have retired on record five years prior to the date of application.

Once selected, the candidates should not be associated with any cricket coaching academy, directly or indirectly or with any media organistaion.
