Sameer Verma loses 14-21, 21-10, 11-21 at Hong Kong Open final badminton Superseries

Sameer Verma produced a comeback in the Hong Kong Superseries final but it wasn't enough for him to win the title in the end.

After three straight first round exits, Sameer Verma improved at the Bitburger Badminton Open to reach the semi-finals. Three weeks later, he’s gone one step better and reached the final of the Hong Kong Open Superseries. And in the process, he created a massive upset to beat Jan O’Jorgensen in the semi-final.

To add to his glorious moment, Sameer would come from being down and out to win both the games against the Dane. In the end, he won 21-19, 24-22 against the World No 3.
