PV Sindhu became the second Indian player to reach the final of the China Open after Saina Nehwal achieved the feat in 2014. Sindhu is eyeing her first superseries final win but China’s Sun Yu will try to keep her away from the win. Sun Yu will be the favourite to win the crown at home but the Indian has been supreme form in the tournament. In the semi-final, she overcame Sung Ji Hyun of South Korea 11-21, 23-21, 21-19. This is the third year in a row that an Indian woman will be in the final of China Open. Saina Nehwal had won the tournament in 2014 and PV Sindhu will like to become the second Indian to win the coveted tournament.

Sindhu has won the silver medal at the Rio Olympics while Sun Yu is an upcoming Chinese player who has dominated the game for an year now. She is currently number nine in the rankings. Catch  the live score of PV Sindhu vs Sun Yu China Open final here
