Steve Smith and Chris Rogers hit fine centuries as Australia gained the upper hand against England on Day 1 at Lord’s in the second Ashes Test on Thursday.
Rogers and Smith were unbeaten at 158 and 129 respectively as Stumps were called on Day 1.
The fans of both the sides made their opinions public as the day ended. While the Barmy Army members were quite disappointed, the Aussies were going gaga over the visitors’ superlative performance. Here is what they said.
Great day for the Aussies, well done. Lot of talk about how flat the wicket is, remember, never judge a pitch till both teams have bowled !!

End of a tough day for England, but not much they could have done differently today. Bowling on the M25 is unforgiving! #Ashes2015
