Three Afghan nationals among five detained in Telangana

Police detained all five. Three of them gave their names as Sher Ranjit, Rohan and Naki Balla and said they were from Afghanistan.

Five persons, including three Afghanistan nationals, were detained at Allipur in Jagtiyal district of Telangana. They were selling sweets in a street when the locals suspected that three of them were not Indians and informed the police.

Police detained all five. Three of them gave their names as Sher Ranjit, Rohan and Naki Balla and said they were from Afghanistan. Two had passports while the third one said he had misplaced his passport.

The two others are from Uttar Pradesh, District Superintendent of Police Anantha Sarma said, adding they would be questioned further to verify their credentials.
