Himachal Pradesh: PM Narendra Modi reaches Mandi

PM Modi will address a public meeting in Mandi named as 'Parivartan rally' to give a call for change in the coming assembly elections

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who reached Mandi in Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday dedicated three hydel projects Kol Dam (800 mw), Parbati ( 540 mw) and Rampur ( 412 MW) to the state. This is the first time Modi has visited the state after becoming the Prime Minister.

PM Modi will address a public meeting in Mandi named as ‘Parivartan rally’ to give a call for change in the coming assembly elections  in 2017. The BJP earlier gave a call for ‘Congress-mukt Himachal‘.

Mandi is also called as ‘choti kashi’ of hills, hence BJP has tried to project Modi’s visit as home coming. Earlier on his arrival, the Prime Minister was received by Chief minister Virbhadra Singh, Governor Acharya Devvrat , Union Health Minister J P Nadda, former CMs Prem Kumar Dhumal, Shanta Kumar and MP Anurag Thakur at Mandi s paddal ground.
