Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar is likely to visit Dhaka later this month in a bid to put the bilateral agenda on “track”, Ministry of External Affairs officials said here. The visit may take place on February 23 or 24.

During the visit, Jaishankar will review the implementation of the agreed initiatives and projects in the bilateral ties. The visit is also expected to pave the way for a possible visit by Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina between March and April this year.

Jaishankar had visited Bangladesh in May 2016 and the visit was part of regular interaction between the two sides. He is expected to call on Bangladesh PM Hasina and Foreign Minister A H Mahmood Ali.
