Singer Alicia Keys says she never likes it when her kids watch the 1937 animated musical fantasy Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs as she thinks the character of the Snow White in the movie, was sexist. The 35-year-old star says she does not want her two sons Egypt and Genesis “fall” for the lessons in Disney’s animated classics, reported Entertainment Weekly.

“They say that every child learns from their mother— and it’s ingrained from babyhood. I get real funky about the classics. I don’t like (my sons) watching (the original Snow White).

“It’s totally sexist, misogynistic— she’s cleaning for seven dwarfs,” she said.

The Girl on Fire hitmaker said every time she watches White happily performing domestic duties for the seven little men in the film, she gets angry.

“There’s nothing wrong with a woman, who chooses to stay at home with her family, it’s a hard job, but it’s the way it’s spoken about,” she said.
