Uttarakhand to review Kedarnath puja plan

The government has undertaken an exercise to put things in order at the temple.

The Uttarakhand government will hold a meeting with Badrinath-Kedarnath temple committee on September 1 to discuss the plan for resuming the puja at Kedarnath temple. As per the plan,puja will be resumed on September 11.

Sources said the government might invite prominent saints to give suggestions at this meeting. “The government wants to avoid a new controversy over its plan to resume puja at the temple. So,it has planned to invite some prominent saints to attend the meeting,” the source said.

The government has undertaken an exercise to put things in order at the temple for the resumption of prayers before the deadline. Reports said PWD has built a bridge which connects the temple with the camp. Another bridge,towards the right side of river Mandakini near Rambada,is also in its final stage.
