Stock markets that plunged over three per cent after RBI hiked key interest rates on January 25,may recover slightly in the coming week on value buying, according to experts.

Last week, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) hiked its key short-term lending and borrowing rates by 25 basis points each with immediate effect to tackle high inflation.

This led to the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex plummeting by over 611 points or 3.21 per cent last week.

The key index has witnessed a sharp plunge of 10.3 per cent in January, but market observers feel it may regain some of the lost ground in the coming sessions.
