Advertisements released by Telugu Desam Party in local channels showing unidentified bureaucrats complaining against the Congress Government has snowballed into a controversy with the Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) lodging a police complaint against TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and managements of local TV channels.

PCC joint secretary Krishna Kumar Goud lodged a complaint with the Saifabad police against Naidu for violating the provisions of Cable Television Networks (Regulations) Act,1995. According to Goud,the advertisements were against the provisions of the Cable Act which banned the telecast of anything that was defamatory,false,against good taste or decency,or contained half truths.
