Sugar prices improved by Rs 25 per quintal in the national capital today following increased offtake amid restricted supply.

Sugar prices improved by Rs 25 per quintal in the national capital today following increased offtake amid restricted supply.

Marketmen said restricted supply from mills against pick up in demand from retailers and stockist mainly pushed up prices.

Sugar ready M-30 and S-30 both prices gained by Rs 25 each to Rs 3,075-3,200 and Rs 3,025-3,150 per quintal,respectively.

Mill delivery M-30 and S-30 also moved up by Rs 25 each to settle at Rs 2,875-3,075 and Rs 2,865-3,050 per quintal,respectively.

The following are today’s quotations per quintal:

Sugar ready: M-30 3,075-3,200,S-30 3,025-3,150.

Mill delivery: M-30 2,875-3,075; S-30 2,865-3,050.

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinnoni 3,040,Asmoli 3,020,Mawana 3,000,Titabi 2,990,Thanabhavan 2,960,Budhana 2,980,Dorala 2,990,Khatauli 3,000,Morna 2,910 and Ramala 2,890.
