SP MLA booked in molestation,abetment to suicide case

UP Police has booked Samajwadi Party MLA Vishambhar Singh Yadav and two others in a case in which a 39-year-old woman committed suicide by setting herself ablaze after allegedly being molested. Vishambhar represents Banda’s Baberu constituency,the area where the woman committed suicide on August 3. The FIR was registered Monday on a local court’s direction. The other accused are Shankar Lal Yadav and Mahesh Yadav — both neighbours of the deceased. The charges include molestation and abetment to suicide. No arrests have been made so far. Baberu police station SHO K N Mishra confirmed the FIR against Vishambhar and the two others. Meanwhile,the police claimed that there was a land dispute between the accused and the victim. The victim’s husband,a farmer,alleged that Shankar and Mahesh had grabbed his land while Vishambhar had provided shelter to the duo. ens
