A man who claimed his children played a prank by calling up a terrorist’s phone number flashed on a news channel during the live coverage of 26/11,has landed in jail because the SIM card was procured by submitting forged papers.

Amzad Ali,from Satna,has been remanded in judicial custody for seven days along with his two cousins who helped him procure the SIM card. The papers collected from Airtel,showed that the number was registered in the name of Savita Dhirendra Kumari,a resident of Amdari village in Uchehra tehsil.

DIG K P Khare told The Sunday Express that the Maharashtra Police had passed a cell number from which two missed calls were made to a number used by the terrorists. Investigating officer of the Kotwali police station ASI B L Baghel said Ali confessed that his cousin Anis Mohammed helped him procure the SIM.
