The distance education department of Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thakarasi (SNDT) Womens University has started the admission process for BA,BCom and MA courses. Girl students who have cleared class 12 this year can apply for BA/BCom admissions.
However,those who have failed in class 10 or 12 will have to appear for entrance examination of the varsity to take admission. The last date for application is August 20. Students can contact on 2542 5366 for more information.

CES gets new building for MBA course
State higher and technical education minister Rajesh Tope recently inaugurated the proposed building of the city-based Camp Education Society (CES) meant for running MBA course. The CES had proposed the new building as a part of the societys 125th year celebrations.
Tope said employable education is a need of the hour in this era of globalisation. I am happy that institutes such as Camp Education Society has been treading on this path, he said. He said the state government is keen on providing financial aid to institutes that are more than 50 years old. He also praised the camp education society for providing education to the weaker sections in the society. Mukesh Malhotra,president of the Maratha Chamber of Commerce,Industries and Agriculture,presided over the function. Valchand Sancheti,executive chairman of CES,was present,said a press note.
