The Congress government in Kerala Monday got a major relief as the complaint of solar panel scam accused Saritha S Nair said nothing about her alleged links with ministers and leaders of the ruling UDF.

Her complaint dealt with the possibility of life threat she was facing from co-accused. She blamed her partner Biju Radhakrishnan for cheating investors. The court referred the complaint to the police, who are yet to act on it,sources said.

The CPM and the BJP alleged that Nair’s statement against Congress leaders was scuttled. “The probe, which we are demanding, should cover the role of the court to prevent Saritha from giving statement against ministers. Why did the court fail to record her earlier statement? The Congress has foisted its agenda on Saritha’s statement,’’ said CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan.

V S Achuthanandan said he would approach the high court registrar (vigilance) against the additional chief magistrate court.
