Sameera Reddy is looking forward to the release of her Tamil film Vettai. One of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2012,it is set to release during Pongal on January 14.

The actress says,“Whether it is Pongal or any other festival,I am very sure that the film will do great at the box-office because the script is the king,” says Sameera. Revealing more about the film, she states that it is a family drama that has Arya and R Madhavan playing brothers while she plays a protective sister to Amala. Arya is the local thug while his older brother Madhavan is a cop. Ashutosh Rana plays the villain.

Sameera has had several hilarious moments while shooting for Vettai. Narrating an incident when she posted a picture of her wedding to Madhavan on Twitter, she says,“It was a scene from the film. But people thought that we had really tied the knot.” On another occasion, she was resting in her vanity van during a break when she spotted a Bullet parked nearby and decided to ride it. Along with a co-star,who was also in a half-saree like Sameera, they both went around the village riding the bike. Director Linguswamy was so impressed with her antics that he decided to use the scene in the film.

Co-produced by UTV,Vettai has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Nirav Shah and editing by Anthony Gonsalves. The film has been shot at many places including Karaikudi,Pondicherry,Madurai,Andhra Pradesh and Chennai.
