For the second time since the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court ordered probe into the murders of two CMOs Dr V K Arya and Dr B P Singh and Deputy CMO Dr Y S Sachan’s death inside Lucknow jail, the CBI has requested for another two months to complete the investigation in the two cases.

Separate applications seeking time of two more months in both the cases were filed before the High Court on Monday, confirmed a senior CBI official.

The Lucknow bench had ordered probe into the murder of Sachan and the killings of the two CMOs on July 14 and July 27,2011,respectively. The court then had given deadline of three months to submit the reports in each of the cases.

The CBI,however, had sought extension of two more months to complete the investigation in both the cases in November last year.

The official said the time period of two months to submit the findings in the two cases was ending on January 8 and they required more time now. In the case of CMOs murders, the official added, they are searching for the key conspirators who planned for the murders of Arya and Singh.
