Plea against Vadra: High Court seeks Centre’s reply

The Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court has sought reply from the Central government on a writ petition seeking an inquiry into the allegations made by IAC’s Arvind Kejriwal and Prashant Bhushan against Robert Vadra. The petition has been filed by social activist Nutan Thakur.

Union of India through Secretary,Prime Minister’s Office is respondent is the matter. The bench comprising Justices Uma Nath Singh and Virendra Kumar Dixit granted three weeks time to respondent’s counsel and Additional Solicitor General of India Dr Ashok Nigam to submit preliminary objections to the maintainability of writ petition.

The case has been listed for hearing on November 21.
