The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court today dismissed a writ petition seeking action against expelled BSP minister Babu Singh Kushwaha for changing his name.

The plea filed by one Sabhajeet Singh was dismissed by a Division Bench, which said it does not raise any question of larger public cause.

Singh sought action against Kushwaha alleging that his name was first Ram Charan, changed to Babu Singh. Singh sought direction to punish Kushwaha and initiate criminal proceedings and recovery of emoluments drawn by him as minister. But the court stated it is also not a case where some person has withdrawn emoluments impersonating someone else.
