Panel submits first report on Adarsh housing scam

The first report of the two-member commission probing the Adarsh Society scandal has been submitted to the Maharashtra government.

The first report of the two-member commission probing the Adarsh Society scandal has been submitted to the Maharashtra government. The commission has sent a detailed report on two of 13 reference points on the issue of ownership and reservation of the land in question. However,it was not clear when or whether it would be tabled before the state legislature,a source at the commission said.

The report,on examining 36 witnesses,has come to a conclusion on the aspect of the ownership of the plot allotted to Adarsh and whether it was meant for housing war heroes and Kargil widows.
