Pak inmates in Ambala jail shifted to Delhi

Two Pakistani prisoners lodged in the Central Jail in Ambala were shifted to Tihar Jail in Delhi under tight security on Thursday.

Two Pakistani prisoners lodged in the Central Jail in Ambala were shifted to Tihar Jail in Delhi under tight security on Thursday. Masood Ahmed and Mohammed Salim,facing charges of espionage and intruding into Indian territory,were sent to Delhi in a heavily guarded police vehicle. Two other prisoners — lodged in Kurukshetra and Sirsa jails respectively — have also been ordered to be shifted to Delhi Tihar Jail.

According to information,the shifting of these prisoners was ordered under directions from the Foreign ministry. The Ministry ordered their shifting on recommendations from a committee comprising retired judges. It was recommended that such prisoners be interrogated in Tihar Jail .
