The Maharashtra Government has categorically denied the involvement of HuJI in the Mumbai terror attack and has said that investigations had revealed only Pakistani links.

“The information we have gathered, the evidence we have and the confessions made by captured terrorist Ajmal Amir Kasab, all reveal only Pakistani links, not HuJI as claimed by Pakistan,” Home Minister Jayant Patil said on Friday. Speaking after a party meeting at the NCP headquarters,Patil said,“We have ample proof that the terrorists were from Pakistan and were trained there; only Pakistan is responsible.”

He said that investigating agencies had evidence to prove that there wasn’t any possibility of involvement of any other country in the terror operations.

Referring to reports of Kasab’s health,he said though he did not monitor the health of the terrorist on a daily basis, his knowledge was that the accused was well and would soon be put on trial.
