A sub inspector was killed and two other policemen injured in a Naxal attack in Jamui

A sub inspector was killed and two other policemen injured in a Naxal attack in Jamui on Wednesday.

The police said that the incident took place at around 2 pm when a 10-member police team was going to Garhi village to conduct raids. As the police jeep stopped at a JCB machine parked in the middle of road,ultras in hiding started firing at them,killing SI J K Singh on the spot and grievously injuring SI Kamlesh Kumar and Constable Janardhan Prasad.

Additional Director General of Police (headquarters) Ravindra Kumar confirmed the incident.
