Muzaffarnagar riots: Tests confirm 3 cases of gangrape
Muzaffarnagar: Medical test confirmed that three women were gangraped during last months violence in Muzaffarnagar,police said. Out of the five women who had undergone medical tests,three were gangraped while the other two assaulted,SSP Hari Narain Singh said. Several women had filed complaints,alleging that they were gang-raped by rioters and their homes were ransacked during the violence.
Fasting Naidu forcibly given IV fluids at hospital
New Delhi: Fasting TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu was Saturday forcibly administered intravenous fluids,after his health deteriorated on the sixth day of indefinite fast against bifurcation of Andhra. We were forced to give intravenous drip around 3 pm to avoid further deterioration. He is being administered 10-15 drops per minute,which may gradually increase after two hours, said Dr H K Kar,Medical Superintendent of RML Hospital.
Britisher among three mountaineers killed near Kullu
Shimla: A British national was among three mountaineers who died Friday night after being hit by a rolling boulder and loose stones in a high mountain area in Kullu. The mountaineers were returning after scaling Shitidhar Peak above Beas Kund. The British national has been identified as Allan Slater.
Asaram son aide arrested,sent to three-day custody
SURAT: Surat police arrested one Mohit Bhojwani (28),an accountant at Asaram Bapus ashram at Jehangirpura. Bhojwani,a close aide of Narayan Sai,was arrested from Athwa lines Friday and taken in on a three-day remand in connection with the alleged rape case filed against the father-son duo.
