MSMEs can now sell IPRs on special exchange

The exchange will help in creating a mechanism to extract value of all knowledge-based initiatives of a firm.

Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India can now buy or sell their Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) through an IPR exchange set up by the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) and the British High Commission in India.

“Be it IPRs of technological inventions,literary and artistic works,symbols,names,images and designs or copyrights of poems,films,music,paintings or radio or TV recordings,each of them can be traded online on the IPR Exchange set up by us,” said a release from FISME.

The exchange will help in creating a mechanism to extract value of all knowledge-based initiatives of a firm.
