Modi govt gave pvt firms undue favours: CAG

The Comptroller and Auditor General of India has come down heavily on the Gujarat government and state public sector undertakings for causing loss of nearly Rs 580 crore to the exchequer by bestowing “undue” favours to large corporate entities. The firms the Narendra Modi government played benefactor to include Reliance Industries Ltd,Essar Steel and Adani Power Ltd,the report said. It also said the government tweaked rules to grant land to Ford India and Larsen & Toubro.
