The UP police have provided security cover to the family of a minor girl who had accused spiritual guru Asaram Bapu of sexually assaulting her at his ashram in Jodhpur on August 15. Her father had filed an FIR against Asaram in Delhi.

The girl’s family lives in Shahjahnpur’s Kotwali area. Five policemen including a sub-inspector have been deployed to guard their house round the clock, fearing attack by supporters of Asaram Bapu.
