The Nikon Df is a more portable full frame DSLR camera with a retro look. The Df has a 16.2MP CMOS sensor and Nikon’s Expeed 3 image processing engine. The ISO range is 100 to 12,800,which is good news for low-light photography enthusiasts. The Df features a shutter release mode that lets users capture 5.5 frames in a second. It weighs 710 grams (body only). The price with an AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G (special edition) kit is Rs 1,99,950,and will be available from December.

Lenovo calls the Ideapad Flex a dual-mode notebook PC with 10-point multi-touch. It can flip 300 degrees. The laptop is good for watching movies as it has Dolby certified audio. Another good feature is voice controls — you can execute simple commands simply by speaking them. The Ideapad Flex,although heavier than ultrabooks,is a fairly light laptop (2 kg) in its price range (Rs 42,250). It features a fourth generation Intel Core i3 processor,which means battery life should be better than most laptops in the price range. Users can also opt for Nvidia GT 740M 2GB graphics. The screen size is 14 inches and the resolution is 1366×768 pixels. It ships with 4 GB RAM.

Canon India recently launched the Powershot S200. This series of point and shoot cameras feature WiFi connectivity that lets users share pictures easily. Android and iPhone users can use the Camera Window app to use the WiFi upload feature. The lens is fairly adept,although those looking for a large zooming range are better off looking at other options. The lens has an aperture of f/2.0 to f/5.9,which is good for low light pictures,but the zoom is only 5x. Canon has provided a fairly robust auto mode. The manual lets users gain more control over their pictures.

Intex’s new phone – Aqua i6 – is an Android smartphone for Rs 8,990. It has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor running on MediaTek’s MT 6582 platform. The graphics chip is Mali 400 MP2. The phone has a 5-inch screen and runs Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2. It has adequate internal memory (4 GB),supports a microSD card expandable to 32 GB and comes with 512 MB RAM. The rear camera is of 8MP with flash and the front camera is 2MP. Connectivity options include WiFi,3G and Bluetooth 4.0. The phone has a 1,900 mAh battery. Intex says it offers up to six hours of talk time. It will be available in two colours: black and white.
