A CBI court on Monday issued notices to Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and 12 others to appear on May 28 in a disproportionate assets case. Naming Jagan Mohan as the prime accused in the case,the CBI filed a third chargesheet in the special CBI court on Monday.
The 88-page charge-sheet,containing 142 documents and 72 witness accounts,also names Jagati Publications auditor Vijay Sai Reddy as accused number 2.
IAS officer G Venkat Ram Reddy,who was former vice-chairman of Vizag Urban Development Authority,Ramky Group chairman Ayodhya Rami Reddy,Jagati Publications,which publishes Telugu daily Sakshi,and Ramky Pharma India Limited have been named as other accused in the case.
The CBI said Ramky had invested Rs 10 crore in Jagati Publications as quid pro quo for the benefits it secured from the then government headed by Jagan Mohans father the late Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
The agency has already filed two chargesheets in the disproportionate assets case and has arrested only Vijay Sai Reddy so far,who was later released on bail.
A CBI official said the accused had been chargesheeted for criminal conspiracy,criminal breach of trust,cheating,forgery,using of forged documents as genuine and abuse of official position.
