Minister for Local Government,Industries and Commerce Minister,Punjab,Manoranjan Kalia inaugurated the new building and portal of District Industries Center (DIC),Ludhiana,on Thursday.
He said: This will give more teeth to the industries in Ludhiana and provide a single-point access to a variety of industry content,schemes and online registration. It will act as single window of DIC,Ludhiana.
He said the portal will allow online application and act as a boon for the industrial sector providing SME with an e-marketing platform for promotion of business opportunities across India and overseas. It would also leverage information technology to deliver value to industry.
An important aspect of the portal is introduction of e-governance to reduce human interface and support industry in a way experienced like never before, he said.
He added the portal is an attempt of the Department of Industries and Commerce to provide a common electronic platform to industries in state for facilitating increase of base of national and international buyers in Punjab.
The portal is a business promotion platform connecting and bringing buyers and sellers at a common point.
It offers an opportunity to suppliers to demonstrate their products to millions of buyers and offers plenty of choice to buyer while buying a product,he said.
He said the government has spent Rs 1.66 cr on the new building and e-facilities.
Entrepreneurs can access this portal on http://www.dicludhiana.gov.in and make their presence felt in international market. Entrepreneurs will get benefits like online filing and issue of EM-Part-I,EM-Part-II,online submission and tracking of application for registration of society,financial assistance under PMEGP,online filing of various returns and tracking of applications, he said.
He said a separate centre and information-cum-facilitation counter has also been set up in the building,which will facilitate entrepreneurs for their applications under a single window clearance system notified under Punjab Industrial Facilitation Act,2005.
Among those present on the occasion were Principal Secretary,Industries and Commerce,Dr S S Channy,A K Sinha,Commissioner,Municipal Corporation,Harish Rai Dhanda
CPS,Harish Bedi MLA,Vishav Bandhu GM DIC,Inderjit Singh Chairman SSI and representatives from all major industrial associations.
