The Indian team took top honours at the Taiwan Excellence smarTEST! 2012 on Tuesday,winning the first prize and $30,000 in a competition that lasted three months and involved over 36,000 contestants.
The event was organised by the Taiwanese Bureau of Foreign Trade and its Ministry of Economic Affairs,and implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) to promote Taiwanese companies and their products in India,China,Vietnam,Indonesia.
TAITRA executive director Walter Yeh said,The four participating countries represent 65 per cent of all Taiwanese export involving high-tech and lifestyle products. …this event has been held so as to spread awareness of Taiwanese products in the four emerging markets.
