After being denied a chance to address a gathering at the Kashmir University,Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chief Yasin Malik has attacked Hurriyat moderates and described the Mirwaiz-led separatist amalgam as a group of “hypocrites” that propagates justice “under the patronage of tyranny and tyrants” and “safeguards Indian interests”.

“Mirwaiz’s Hurriyat propagates Hussaniyat (principles of truth and justice) under the patronage of tyranny and tyrants. This forum claims to be the representatives of Kashmir’s freedom movement. But the fact is that in the garb of this movement they have received benefits and big mansions. These people claim to run the freedom movement and are simultaneously engrossed in safeguarding Indian interests,” he said on Monday.

Malik’s outburst came after being denied a chance to address people at a conference organised at Kashmir University by Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian — a constituent of moderate Hurriyat, led by Aga Hassan Budgmai.
