Anna Hazare on Saturday reached Amritsar for the Jantantra Yatra, all set to start on Sunday from Jallianwala Bagh. He aims to garner support against the UPA government’s policies.

He said after five months,a Jan Sansad would be held at Ramlila Maidan to seek views of people to take forward Jantantra Morcha’s movement. He evaded queries on Arvind Kejriwal’s fast and said he had advised him to end the fast as it was not a solution to take forward the struggle.

While underlining that the Congress-led UPA government was afraid of losing power, the veteran activist said Jantantra Morcha would work to strengthen the people’s movement,to make the government accountable, and bring in honest and upright people to power.
