Haryana has emerged as the most innovation driven economy and has bagged awards in administrative environment,human capacity and scope of innovation constituted by the Institute for Competitiveness (India).

Among other states,Delhi got the top position in city states,Punjab was adjudged as numerouno in transition economies,Andhra Pradesh ranked number one in the investment driven economies,Bihar received the award for being the best emerging economy and Rajasthan got the award for being the best in changeover economies.

It has the best demand conditions like demographics. It is also best on the related and supporting industries pillar,which includes institutional support,and on the context for strategy pillar. It got positioned itself at the top in the overall microeconomic competitiveness in the category of Innovation driven Economies and thus outshined in the country.

The first of its kind India’s Most Competitive State Awards constituted by the Institute for Competitiveness (India),the Indian knot in the global network of the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School provide a detailed description of the 29 Indian States,their competitiveness level pertaining to the business environment,infrastructure,technology etc.

The report is based on the detailed study wherein the States are critically evaluated on various parameters of Microeconomic Competitiveness are based on in-depth research and analysis done by Institute for Competitiveness. The States were categorized on the basis of City States,Innovation Driven Economies,Transition Economies,Investment Driven Economies,Changeover Economies and Most Emerging Economy.
