Gur price remains steady in thin trade

The wholesale jaggery market remained steady in the national capital today as prices moved both ways on alternate small bouts of trading and closed at last levels.

Muzaffarnagar and Muradnagar gur market too witnessed quiet trend on little doing.

Marketmen said small buying and adequate stocks position mainly kept prices around last levels.

The following are today’s quotations per quintal:

Gur chakku 2,750-2,850,pedi 2,950-3,000,dhayya 2,900-2,950 and shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200.

Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,250-2,350,chakku Rs 2,525-2,800 and khurpa 2,550-2,600.

Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,600-2,650 and dhayya Rs 2,600-2,650.
