A Day after he was arrested for the murder of British tourist Sarah Elizabeth,a court on Sunday sent Dutch tourist Richard De wit to 10-day police custody.

“He was produced before the duty magistrate on Sunday and remanded to 10-day police custody,” said DIG Ahfad-ul-Mujtaba.

Elizabeth and De wit were staying in the same houseboat here. Elizabeth’s body was found by the owner of the houseboat on Saturday morning.

The owner said that he also found De wit missing and informed the police who tracked down the driver of the vehicle which he had hired to escape from the Valley. Police sources claimed that De wit confessed to killing Elizabeth.
